Work Request & Policy Agreement

Asking the Shed for help.

Kemnay Men's Shed is a volunteer-led community organisation. We occasionally assist with small repairs or create simple items for individuals, community groups and local organisations. Before we can assess or accept any request, we ask all applicants to review and agree to the terms below.

This ensures that our work remains safe, appropriate for volunteers, and compliant with our charitable purpose.

Charging & Donation Policy

Materials costs

Where a project requires timber, fixings, paint or other materials, the applicant must reimburse the actual cost. Costs will be agreed in advance or supported by receipts. No additional fees or mark-ups are applied.

Donations

We do not charge for labour. All work is carried out by volunteers. Voluntary donations are welcomed to support hall hire, insurance, tools, equipment and running costs. Donations are optional and not a condition of receiving assistance.

We may assist with

  • Minor, low-risk repairs

We may decline work that is

Important notice

All work is carried out on a goodwill basis. Kemnay Men's Shed does not provide professional, commercial or certified repair services. No warranties or guarantees are offered.

How to request work

Submit a work request

To request assistance, please email us with a short description of the job, where it is, and any deadline you have in mind. A committee member will be in touch to discuss whether it's something our volunteers can take on.

Questions before you submit? Speak to a committee member on a Wednesday evening, or email info@kemnaymensshed.org.uk.
